It explores the following six key areas: clients/customers and how they relate to your business; the business’s key products and services; business resilience; people issues; financial viability; and plans for the future. Businesses use the results from these sessions to plan the next stages of their development. Some of our clients undertake Barometers on an annual basis as part of a benchmarking exercise.

Hi-Tech Coatings based in Aylesbury is the market specialist in the development and manufacture of high-performance coatings used by the printing and packaging industries. Our business has a turnover in excess of £10m per annum and growing. Following a re-location to larger premises and the introduction of a new IT system, I wanted to ensure that our existing internal processes were still fit for purpose and I also wanted the team to pro-actively look for opportunities to continuously improve as the business grows. To this end I asked Jonathan, Patrick and Pippa to undertake a comprehensive process review.
Kicking off with a ‘Business Barometer’ which provided a very valuable insight into the current health of Hi-Tech, Jonathan, Patrick and Pippa then quickly immersed themselves in the business, holding a sequence of highly interactive workshops with the team to fully understand our day to day operations. Gaining a wealth of feedback, this was combined with the consultants own findings and as a result we now have a very clear and actionable set of recommendations which will be instrumental in underpinning the next stage in Hi-Tech’ s organisational growth and development.
